On carbon dioxide emissions from electricity generating plants

The carbon dioxide emissions of the most commonly encountered fuels used for generating electricity are compared. The most emitting fuel, municipal waste, emits almost three times more CO2 per unit of electricity generated than the least emitting, natural gas.
