SPECT evaluation of possible organophosphate exposure
T. Earnest
Amen Clinic, Bellevue, Washington, USA
Single-photon emission computed tomography brain scans are introduced as an effective means of giving some indication of how the organ is functioning, as opposed to merely structural information. This functional information is particularly valuable for understanding the nature of the neurological damage caused by organophosphates, and can lead to valuable insights into the effective treatment of patients.
