Erythrocyte A1 and A2 antigens in blood donors

Blood samples from Georgian donors were tested for erythrocyte blood group antigens using monoclonal anti-A, anti-B and anti-A1 lectins. Phenotypes A1, A2, A1B and A2B were found but not equally distributed. The rarest phenotype was A2B.
