Department of Medical Chemistry, Tbilisi State Medical University, 33 V. Pshavela Avenue, 0177 Tbilisi, GeorgiaResults of the investigation of the detoxication processes of 1-6-14C-4-phenol, 1-6-14C-4-nitrophenol and 1-6-14C-hydroquinone in albino rats are presented. It has been established that along with the conjugation mechanism, aromatic ring degradation also plays an important role. Significant amounts of untransformed phenols have also been identified in the urine.
